Mappy Monday - Early Landowners South/Southeast of Sicily Island, 1843-1849

The land survey below began on June 1, 1838 by deputy surveyor, John G. Berry and was approved by the surveyor general, Henry T. Williams on May 27, 1839.  It encompasses land south/southeast of Sicily Island in Catahoula Parish as well as land in neighboring Concordia Parish.

Bayou Louie can be seen in the top left corner.
Tiger Bayou can be seen in the top right corner.
The Tensas River is seen across the bottom portion of the map.
