On July 21, 1891, Jacob Henry Meyers married Armintha/Armettie Blaney in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.
Armettie Levina/Louvinia. Dear was born in Alabama on November 22, 1855. She first married John Silas Blaney on July 3, 1879 in Avoyelles Parish. Three children were born to this marriage, Ida Mae, William Sidney and Oliver Dee Blaney.

Following the death of her first husband, Armettie married James Cooper. This marriage took place on June 25, 1888. One child was born to this marriage, Milton Cooper.
The 1900 U.S. Census shows Jacob, Armettie, three of Armettie's children by John Silas Blaney, one child by James Cooper and six of the seven children born to Jacob and Armettie. The family is shown living in Ward 2 of Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. Again, the places of birth for Jacob's parents are shown as Germany.
The 1910 U.S. Census shows the Jacob, Armettie and three of their seven children living in Ward 7 of Catahoula Parish. Note that Jacob is listed as John and his birthplace is shown as North Carolina. Also note that the places of birth for his parents are listed as North Carolina.
The 1920 U.S. Census shows Jacob, Armettie and four of their seven children living in Ward 5 of Catahoula Parish. Note that the places of birth for Jacob's parents are listed as France (Father) and England (Mother).
Jacob Henry Meyers died on February 7, 1926 and Armettie L. Dear Meyers died on May 22, 1928. Both are buried in the Old Pine Hill Cemetery near Sicily Island, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana.
