Sentimental Sunday ~ Lynn and Linda

Lynn and Linda Evans

Ernest Lynn Evans was born on January 29, 1938 to the marriage of Joseph Denman Evans and Jessie Wactor.  Linda Lou Krause was born on September 7, 1939 to the marriage of Albert Earl Krause, Sr. and Thelia Marie Huff.

On December 27, 1984, Lynn and Linda celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary.

Lynn passed from this life on April 6, 2006.  His passing left a huge void in the Evans and Krause families as well as the entire community of Sicily Island.

The legacy Lynn Evans left behind is one of a hardworking man who loved his family, his church, his community and Tiger football.  His involvement in Sicily Island High School sports did not end when he graduated.  Many remember Friday night football games and the familiar sight of Lynn "running the chains" on the sidelines year after year.

Linda, known by her family as "Girl", is the same as she's always been....a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She has served her community as a past member of the Catahoula Parish Police Jury.  Her lifetime membership and involvement in her local church as well as her continued support of high school athletics, carries on the legacy of her late husband.

Both Lynn and Linda have shown the importance of family, church, community, and friendship.  Lessons we should all take to heart.  Legacies we respect and admire.

They have led by example.  And we are all the better for it.
