a special census, authorized by the Policy Jury, George Hudson was elected as
the second Police Juror representing Ward 6.

A. Edmonds appointed Registrar of Voters in January 1970. H. C. Peck, Jr. appointed until an election
could be held. The Police Jury created
Ward 8 in 1969—dividing old Ward 6.
Shelby Mitchell died in 1970 and his son, David, was appointed to his
un-expired term.
