Mrs. A. L. Gremillion entertained her bridge club members in her home recently, Mrs. Joe A. Wedgeworth winning high score prize; Miss Marie Andrews, second; and Mrs. Shelby Beasley, consolation.  Following the games, refreshments were served to the following:  Mrs. Beasley, Mrs. Wedgeworth, Mrs. Roy Huff, Mrs. Hutcherson, Mrs. Clarence Wilson, Mrs. Robert Taliaferro, Miss Iona Moses, Miss Andres, Miss Shirley Wren, Miss Lucile Bennett and Mrs. Kermit Ducote.  Miss Mary Almada Ford assisted Mrs. Gremillion in serving.

Master Shelby Hughes Beasley was host at a party in celebration of his fifth birthday. Many interesting games of contests were enjoyed.  Refreshments were served to Mamie Nell Boatner, Robert Taliaferro, Clarence Routon, Royce and Cecile Dosher, Joe Hair McGee, Gloria McGee, Kenneth Gremillion, Jim and Marie Jones, D. W. Jones, Jr., Patsy Kay Johnson, Jane Shannon Gibson, Bob Beasley, Barbara Finlay and C. C. Finlay, Jr.

C. C. Mobley and M. I. Saltzman of Sicily Island were other visitors here recently.

Mr. and Mrs. John Surville Taliaferro of Shreveport were recent weekend guests of Mrs. Taliaferro's mother, Mrs. Sena Stone.

Judge and Mrs. Roger Reeves, Mr. J. Baily, Mrs. Joe R. Bethard, Miss Ruth Ford, Mr. Bonnett Brown and Miss Mary Almada Ford were among Harrisonburg residents who witnessed the recent LSU-Mississippi State football game.

Mr. Kavanaugh Stone, student at LSU spent a recent weekend with his mother, Mrs. Sena Stone.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bethard had as their guests recently, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Disch and children, Mary Sue and Nettie Jean of Wisner; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilson of Columbia; and Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Trunzler and daughter, Ann Cecile of Jonesville.
